John Applebee was diagnosed with leukaemia in 1988. Since recovering he has raised over £10,000 in aid of Leukaemia Research. He took part in ten marathons last year alone, even completing three marathons in three days to raise money for the charity.
"I want show people that life doesn’t have to stop when you’ve been diagnosed with blood cancer. Those battling against leukaemia can recover and be fitter and healthier than they ever were.”
