Fundraising at work
A really good way to raise money is to get your company and colleages involved:The simplest way you can get your company to support you is to enquire about their matched giving policy. Most companies are part of a scheme where they will match your fundraising total e.g: You raise £200, they donate an additional £200. It is definitely worth approaching them to see if they’ll help.
Create a cycling team : ask your colleagues to join you in cycling at the Bikeathon.
Organise a dress down day : suggest everyone pays £2 for the day.
Get sponsored to take the stairs all day instead of the lift : Maybe a colleague will suffer with you.
Put your company logo on your T-shirts : raise money in return for sponsorship.
Set up a swear box in your workplace.
Set up a "shooting range" : everyone at work can pay to throw water balloons at volunteers in a designated area.
Ask colleagues to cycle or run to work : donate the money saved on transport.
Get willing colleagues and managers to offer their skills : e.g. boss makes tea all day, free massages, cake sale.
Be sponsored to take the stairs all day instead of the lift. : Maybe a colleague will suffer with you.
You may need to get permission from your relevant manager for some of the above. If you would like any further advice on how to start fundraising, please do not hesitate to contact us. Alternatively, you can download the Banana Army Fundraising Guide below.
