This year the former Great North Run winner represented Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research running alongside daughter Sophie, 7, who finished second in the girls’ Mini Run. |
Named after our bright yellow shirts, the Banana Army is about having fun whilst also doing something extremely positive to help people with blood cancers. It doesn’t matter if you are new to the events or an experienced athlete – everyone is welcome! Become a Banana Army member and enter one of our many runs or triathlons. We’ll look after you and make sure you have a great time!
In 2008, 10,000 people joined the Banana Army and took part in events to raise a staggering £2.2 million for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
