The Bananaman Chase 10K

Date: Sunday 3 October 2010 Venue: Willen Lake, V10 Brickhill Street, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire MK15 0DS Start: 11.00 Distance: 10k adult, 2k Junior Entry Fee: Early bird - Until 31st April Adult - £12, Child - £3, Family (2 Adults 2 Children) - £25, Team (minimum 4 ppl) - £10 per person. Standard- After 31st April Adult - £15, Child £3, Family £30, Team £12 per person.

The Bananaman Chase is not your everyday 10K run. You'll be chasing... you guessed it...bananas!

Entry fees for the early bird special (applicable to telephone entries received by 31 April 2010): £12 for adults, £3 for children, £25 per family (2 adults and 2 children) and £10 per person for a team (minimum 4 people).

The race

There will be 10 people dressed as banana's starting 5 minutes before the start. They will all be running at different paces to give everyone the chance to beat at least one banana!

The bananas

These are not your everyday bananas. The 10 starting bananas are all people who have suffered from Leukaemia and related blood diseases first hand. They have either had a blood cancer themselves or are supporting a close family member or friend who has.

Along with the Bananaman Chase 10K we are delighted to be hosting a Junior Bananaman Chase 2K for children under 12.
Last year we raised £50,000 to support Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and this year we are hoping to beat that!
